MEDIATION AND ARBITRATION
Michelle Adams has a 25 year career of rich, hands-on, diverse experience. She has practiced as a defense civil litigator and trial attorney for over 20 years with experience in Medical Malpractice, Premises Liability, Construction Law, Automobile Liability, Intentional Torts, General Negligence and Business Disputes. She served as the Municipal Prosecutor for three cities where she prosecuted ordinance violations including liquor proceedings. She was asked to take the lead attorney role for a Medical Captive and served the Board in a risk management capacity while representing the doctor insureds in litigation. She was asked by Nautilus Insurance Company to take over a high volume of cases at one time---representing its insureds in high value construction matters in the City of Chicago. Her trial career started with the Corporation Counsel's office---trying hundreds of traffic and municipal violations in the City, and she had an active trial practice over the course of her career with verdicts and appeals in multiple counties throughout the state. Whether evaluating liability, damages, or verdict amounts---Michelle has spent her career in active legal evaluation and negotiation. Over the years she resolved hundreds of matters by negotiating settlements out of court. She also participated in many mediations and arbitrations in a variety of forms.
In recent years, Michelle decided to take on the role of Business Director for a food start up in the Wedding Industry with both brick and mortar and online stores while transitioning to a solo practice focusing in Litigation, Business Law and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). She also served as Of Counsel to a Plaintiff PI firm for a year and gained further insight into transportation litigation from a different perspective. Invaluable hands-on business experience expands her knowledge of business environment, processes and operations. Whether serving as the Manager of a law firm or helping to build a brand, Michelle has gained a well-rounded business acumen, including insight into business partnerships through her own experiences being involved in numerous business partner relationships.
